Lawn Care

Lawnmower We now prune our weeds with a battery powered lawn mower from Homelite. Reasonably priced with a 24V battery, it's quiet and has the power to chomp through the tallest fescue. I love the 45-minute battery working time, freeing me early for a well-earned cold one.

Available through Home Depot for $317, this mower reduces CO2 and pollution by 6-8 times that of a standard mower.

The best CFLs!

My brother introduced me to N:Vision bulbs. We replaced every bulb in my mother's house, and she saved $20 in electricity the first month! Wow.
I like the bulbs because the colour temperature is around 5000K which gives a warm daylight. Bulbs are available in all shapes.
You will not be sorry with these bulbs available from Home Depot or online. Visit N:Vision

Lawn care

Chemical manufacturers have force fed us the concept of a green lawn. I like the yellows, blues, and myriad colours from wildflowers and clovers. ICT Organics offers some wonderful products and some helpful hints on creating a truly 'green' yard without hazardous chemicals.

Special thanks to Bill Skerrett of IICT Organics for his input.
